I grew up in Schenectady, New York, where I played football and captained the wrestling team. My dream was to move to New York City and become an artist.
At eighteen, I attended Pratt Institute with the goal of becoming the next great American illustrator. That fine art career quickly gave way to a path in computers and special effects, which led me to start QuietMan, an innovative company known for many industry firsts — the first Beatles music video, the first Primetime Emmy for a TV commercial, and the first five-second TV ads. QuietMan has won virtually every major advertising award, including Emmys and even a Grammy, and has produced over 150 Super Bowl commercials.
I’ve directed live-action and animated commercials, as well as developed a live animation system used in more than 100 projects. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with Saturday Night Live and The Jim Henson Company.
Today, my focus is as an AI filmmaker, exploring new ways to push storytelling forward through cutting-edge creative technology. I’m proud to be part of the Creative Partners program at Runway, where I’m helping to shape what the future of filmmaking looks like.
Most recently, my animated short has been accepted into more than 70 film festivals worldwide, won 22 awards, and qualified for Academy Award consideration.
Of all my accomplishments, though, my greatest joys are my daughters, Emma and Dara.
