Montreal International Animation Film Festival – MIAFF presents the opening ceremony.

Following the opening cocktail reception (5 PM – 7 PM) at Moyse Hall.

Come celebrate with animation film fans and content creators on the launch of the 2017 film festival and conference.

Screening of select short films, including “In a heartbeat”, a student film from the US that tells the story of two boys falling in love, in celebration of Montreal Pride Week. The film has become viral on social media and YouTube, becoming an international sensation over the past few weeks.

The Award for best Student Film from the Student Film Contest will be announced at the Opening Ceremony, followed by a screening of selected finalist films and the winners & special mentions.
