Vision and mission

The Montreal International Animation Film Festival  unites and converges animation for film, 2D, 3D, (any number of D’s!) VFX, gaming, virtual and augmented reality and science. Animation is a genre by its very nature embraces technology. Animation is the key opening the portal to converging industries in the vibrant and international city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Ongoing investment exceeds 3.2 billion dollars to date.

With global private animation studios, gaming and government investment the Montreal economy is booming making Montreal the global hub of animation film. Hands down and International companies continue to set up shop in Montreal employing thousands.

The Montreal International Animation Film Festival give a showcase and platform to this giant of an industry. With a  conference, educational forum hosting  panels and networking events and master classes connecting animation experts, producers and the curious from Quebec and around the world.
