Montreal is served by major airlines with direct flights from major North American and European cities. If travelling from the airport, keep an eye out for detours and construction as they may affect the route.
Animaze’s two main venues are located in central Montreal on Sherbrooke St West. Animaze’s main screening venue is the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The Dome, VR Cinema and Industry Conference are at HOTEL10, at the intersection of Sherbrooke St and St-Laurent Boulevard. Our Friday and Saturday night outdoor screenings are at Parc des Amériques, 1 kilometre north up St-Laurent Boulevard. Our partner hotel Le Meridien Versailles is five blocks west of the museum. Together the four points form an L, which is why we call it the Hub of Love.
Paid parking is available in lots by the Meridien, the Museum and Hotel 10. Parc des Amériques has some limited street parking. As public parking in Montreal is in limited supply, public transit, bicycle or walking is recommended. You can walk between the Museum and Hotel10 in 20 minutes. The STM’s 24 bus runs both directions down Sherbrooke St at approximately 10-minute intervals for a $3.25 one way fare. Montreal’s public bike system Bixi has stands every 2-3 blocks in the entire festival area.
Coming to Montreal in August? Preferential rates are available courtesy of our hotel partner Le Meridien Versailles. Reserve for dates between August 17-22 inclusive and receive a welcome gift along with your room and Festival or Conference Pass.
