Ryan Larkin Foundation

About The Foundation//

The Ryan Larkin Foundation was founded by Animaze director Laurie Gordon who was Ryan Larkin’s producer and friend.

The mission of the foundation is to facilitate the production of new works by mid-career to pedigree filmmakers wishing to return to their art after a hiatus. From National Film Board of Canada enfant terrible to Oscar nominee, Ryan Larkin then fell into the abyss of alcoholism, spending years on the streets of Montreal panhandling for spare change. His life was the subject of Chris Landreth’s Oscar-winning animated short Ryan (2004).

The Foundation will launch in 2016 at Animation Day in Cannes. In the meantime we’re looking for supporters and resources to help us build the organization. Contact us for more.
